Packing Labels

Packing labels greatly simplify the task of packing orders for your fulfillment accounts.

Lyravine intelligently generates labels for each container, specifying the fulfillment account and exact contents. This ensures that all items in the order are accounted for and delivered correctly, especially when the order spans multiple containers or boxes.

Packing labels ensure each container is packed and delivered quickly and accurately.

This example shows how the system intelligently splits up a fulfillment account’s order to fit into your delivery containers, even when your containers are different sizes.

For this order and configuration of containers:

Customer
Steep Street Coffee House
Order
24
Muffin
12
Danish
12
Scone
Containers
Name Capacity
10x box 10
20x box 20

The system calculates the 48 items will occupy two 20x containers and one 10x container, and so produces 3 labels representing the entire order:

Steep Street Coffee House - Box 1 of 3

20x box

Items

20 - Muffin

Steep Street Coffee House - Box 2 of 3

20x box

Items

4 - Muffin

4 - Scone

12 - Danish

Steep Street Coffee House - Box 3 of 3

10x box

Items

8 - Scone

In order for the system to know how to pack a fulfillment account’s order efficiently, you must provide information about the physical containers or boxes you distribute your items to fulfillment accounts in.

When creating packing labels, you’ll be able to specify which containers to use for fulfillment account locations.

From the “Settings” tab in the top navigation, click on the name of a shop location, then go to the “Delivery containers” tab. There are actions to administer your delivery containers, including adding a new one.

For each distinct size (or capacity) container you use, you must provide:

  • Your name for the container
  • The capacity of the container. In other words, the maximum number of items that will fit in the container.

You can create packing labels in bulk, for many fulfillment accounts at a time.

From the “Schedule” tab in the top navigation, select a date range and a shop location (if you have more than one), then click on “Create packing labels”.

If you have not yet defined delivery containers for the shop location, you will have an opportunity to do so.
